KELUSKY NAMED TO ALL-STAR FIRST TEAM
Calgary, AB - Calgary Roughnecks captain Tracey Kelusky was today named to represent the West in the National Lacrosse League’s All-Star game in Toronto on February 25.

Kelusky will start on a line with Gavin Prout of Colorado and Craig Conn of the Arizona Sting. Jay Jalbert, Colorado, and rookie Brodie Merrill, Portland are the starting defenders, and Anthony Cosmo, San Jose, is the West’s No. 1 goalie.

“I am not surprised at Tracey’s selection to the first team,” said General Manager Kurt Silcott. “He is a great leader, the ultimate captain and he’s a player that every team in the NLL would love to have.”

Kelusky was named MVP of last year’s All-Star game held here in Calgary.

In six games for Calgary this season, he has registered 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists), second only to Lewis Ratcliff who has 28 (13 goals, 15 assists).

The East Division First Team is:

Forwards: John Tavares, Buffalo; John Grant, Rochester, and Colin Doyle, Toronto
Defenders: Steve Toll, Rochester, and Thomas Hajek, Philadelphia
Goalie: Pat O’Toole, Rochester

The remainder of the two All-Star teams will be released tomorrow (Tuesday, February 14).

The starting line-ups for the All-Star game are determined by the combined votes of league general managers, the media, and fans.
