ROUGHNECKS TRADE RYAN MCNISH
CALGARY, AB – Calgary Roughnecks President and General Manager Brad Banister announced last Wednesday that the club has traded defenceman Ryan McNish and a third round draft choice in 2010 to Edmonton in exchange for Edmonton’s first round pick in 2010.

“We’re sad to see Ryan go to Edmonton, but with a change of career, it worked in his best interest,” said Banister.

“We want to see Ryan keep playing Lacrosse, and we look forward to meeting him in our upcoming home opener.”

The 27-year-old native of Winnipeg, MB, played 16 games last season with the Roughnecks tallying two goals and four assists for six points. McNish collected 63 loose balls and 39 penalty minutes in that time.

McNish, who stands six-foot-two and weighs 230 pounds, was originally acquired by Calgary from the Toronto Rock in exchange for a sixth round draft pick in the 2004 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.
