ROUGHNECKS ACQUIRE CRAIG CONN FROM ROCK

CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks announced today that they have acquired forward Craig Conn from the Toronto Rock, along with a second round selection in the 2010 Entry Draft in exchange for their first round selection (11th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft and sixth round selection in the 2010 Entry Draft.

The Rock also waived their right to their second round draft pick in the 2009 Entry Draft which was originally acquired from Calgary in the Lewis Ratcliff trade in March of 2008.

Conn, a native of St. Catharines, ON, notched 32 points, including 14 goals and 18 assists in 11 games last season with the Rock. In that time, he collected 68 loose balls and racked up 52 penalty minutes.

Prior to his time with Toronto, the 25-year-old played alongside the Buffalo Bandits, Minnesota Swarm and the former Arizona Sting.

In 55 career NLL games, Conn has tallied 99 goals, 118 assists for 217 points. He has also captured 265 loose balls in that time.
