The Calgary Roughnecks Charitable Foundation was established in 2005 to benefit Calgary and surrounding area. The Foundation gives chartiable donations to a wide variety of charities in Calgary and Alberta.

CALGARY ROUGHNECKS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Congratulations to our 2010 scholarship winner: Layne Rapson!
The purpose of the Calgary Roughnecks Charitable Foundation Scholarship is to provide an annual scholarship to students looking to further their academics and who are involved in varsity sports.
Value: $2000.00
The scholarship will look for individuals who are involved in Lacrosse first, but is open to all.
1) The Scholarship will be awarded to (1) one full time student enrolled in any year and any program. Students must apply for the scholarship through the Foundation. Details can be found on the Calgary Roughnecks Web site (www.calgaryroughnecks.com)
2) This annual award will be presented based on the following criteria:
1) Demonstrate athletic ability and love of sports especially lacrosse and has a professional attitude.
2) Financial need
3) Academic Performance (3.0 GPA or 80%)
