Check out the Calgary Roughnecks song!
The Calgary Roughnecks dug deep into the vault and have recovered this classic Roughnecks song! We are getting prepared to pay tribute to the King of Pop on Friday, but we'd like to take a moment and pay tribute to a local man who helped bring this original song to life: Bruce Leitl.
Bruce made some major contributions to the music industry in North America and produced this song for us nine years ago. The song was written by Bruce's brother, Jeff, and you may be able to pick out some familiar voices in the track (Owner Brad Banister and forward Kaleb Toth lent their voices for the recording). Unfortunately Bruce passed away a few weeks ago, but this song is back in regular Roughnecks rotation!
Come On!
Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!!
Come On!
Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!!
We're on top, looking down,
(On) all the fools who dare to come to our town.
Where they'll feel what pain's all about,
Their crying in fear, while we all shout, Come on!
Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!!
Come On!
Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!!
You can run, but you can't hide,
It's survival of the roughest man, my-oh-my
We're coming to you like a run away train,
There's no escape when you hear our name, come on!
Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!!
Come On!
Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!! Roughnecks!!
Come on!
