The Peterborough Lakers have won their fifth Mann Cup title in ten years, overcoming a two-game deficit to beat Langley in four consecutive games. Following a 31-point Mann Cup performance, the Roughnecks' own Shawn Evans now sits in 22nd place for all-time Mann Cup scoring with 87 total points at the ripe age of 26. For the second straight year, Langley will have to settle for second between the WLA/MSL as Matt Leveque put up a six point performance in the six game series.

Western Lacrosse Association (WLA)
In the best-of-seven Championship series Langley overtook Coquitlam four games to two, winning their second consecutive WLA Championship trophy.
Though he missed the final game of the championship series, Dane Dobbie finished second overall in WLA post-season scoring with 45 points.
In WLA semi-final playoff action Langley swept the series against Burnaby 4-0 and Coquitlam overtook Victoria 4-2 to advance to the WLA Championship series.
Langley finished the 2012 WLA regular season at the top of the standings with 24 points. Victoria managed a late-season surge to finish in second place (22 points) while Coquitlam and Burnaby found themselves in third and fourth place, respectively, with 20 points. League-leading scorer Scott Ranger and the Nanaimo Timberman were eliminated from the playoff race as they finished the season in sixth place.
The Roughnecks roster boasted three of the top five regular-season WLA scorers. Rank 1: Scott Ranger 92 points (55g, 37a), Rank 3: Jeff Shattler 70 points (35g, 35a), Rank 5: Cory Conway 68 points (12g, 56a).

Major Series Lacrosse (MSL)
The Peterborough Lakers are the MSL Champions after beating the Six Nations Chiefs four games to one in the best-of-seven finals. At the conclusion of MSL playoffs, Roughnecks’ Shawn Evans not only matched his 50-point regular season, but also finished atop playoff scoring with 17 goals and 33 assists.
The host of the Mann Cup swaps between the MSL/WLA each year, meaning the series will take place in Peterborough at the Memorial Centre beginning on September 7
th. Games 2 and 3 will resume on September 9 and 10 and Game 4 on September 12
th. If necessary, Games 5-7 will continue on September 14, 15 and 16.
Their road to the championship included two playoff series sweeps against the Ajax Rock in first-round playoff series (best of five) and in the East Division finals against the Brooklin Redman (best of seven). In the west division, Brampton triumphed three games to one against Kitchener-Waterloo in their opening series, landing them in the West Division final against the Six Nations Chiefs. Mike Poulin and the Chiefs secured the division final winning four games to one.
